Gerald “Jerry” T. Moore, age 88 of Lake Orion, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born on January 11, 1936 in Pontiac to parents Bronnie and Virgie (Stogner) Moore. Jerry proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He had a successful career in the Aerospace industry for 12 years, and also worked for doctors at Wayne State University who were involved in cancer research. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the past Vice President of UAW Local 540. Jerry was an avid pool player, a member of the Interlakes Pool League for 40 years, and he enjoyed teaching others how to play. He also enjoyed golf, working crossword puzzles, and was a huge Detroit Tigers fan. More than anything, Jerry cherished his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his sons: Tom (Robin) Moore, Mark (Michelle) Moore, Steve (Nancy) Moore, and Johnny Davis; grandchildren: Mark Jr., Aaron (Ericka), Tiffany (Micheal), Dylan, Harrison, Hunter, Samantha, and London; great grandchildren: Landen, Mason, Keegan, Bryce, Blayne, Annabelle, Brentley, and June; sister, Brenda Dura. He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Mariann Walczuk; grandson, Connor Dean Moore; and siblings: Harold Moore and Alene Moore. A funeral service will take place at 12 noon on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Kensington Troy Chapel, 1825 E. Square Lake Rd., Troy, MI. Pastor Gabriel Carnell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at church from 9am until the time of service. Interment with military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
