BAKER Howard E.
of Clarkston, passed away on March 18, 2017 at the age of 65. Beloved son of Ruth Strahan. Loving father of Veronica (Darren) Kern, Jason Baker, and Kyle Baker. Proud grandfather of Joshua, Conner, Bryce, and Asianna. Dear brother of Barbara, Yolonda (Michael), Brenda (Rod), Betty (Andy), Beverly (Victor), and Susan (Kevin). Howard is survived by many loving friends, including those at the Serenity Club. Howard loved music, growing roses, and his classic Chevy truck. Howard had a way of making people feel safe and loved. He touched many lives with his willingness to listen and counsel. He was funny, crazy, extremely intelligent, and he had an immense ability to see through the b.s. There are no words to express the degree of sorrow we feel and how much he will be missed.
Tuesday 12:00 p.m. until the service begins at our WATERFORD location.
Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
My sincerest condolences to all of Howard's family and friends.
While I did not know Howard as close as all of you, what I did know was amazing.
His volunteer efforts to help others in dire need of a place to talk, be still, and have a cup of coffee, was priceless.
I can only imagine the lives he touched and helped to make it another day, simply because someone unselfishly volunteered to keep a door open, a smile on their face, and a spirit of willingness to listen.
Although Howard will be missed, his legacy will live on forever.
God bless you
I will miss him beyond words......
Blessings to your family Howard, you may be gone from our early sight, but you are not forgotten... Much love... Ann
