Tim said goodbye for now on Monday, January 30th, 2017. Proud father of Paul, Cheryl and Lisa, delighted Papa of 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild, big brother of Mary and Joan, and devoted husband who adored the love of his life, Connie, for over 50 years. He lived his life as a rare example of hard work and selflessness. He always enjoyed the beauty of nature, was an avid reader and a U of M football fanatic. If you visited, you could count on the Tigers baseball game or Red Wings hockey game being on. He was a master electrician, a masterful euchre player, a vast source of trivia knowledge and turned out to be a good cook. We all knew him as a down-to-earth, no-nonsense person who walked the walk of devotion, loyalty and integrity. His handshake meant his word, and when you needed a helping hand you knew he would be there. We’ll miss him, his dedication to family, and the quiet strength he provided.
We will celebrate his life on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at our CLARKSTON location.
Memorial Service Friday, February 3, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, (8909 Dixie Hwy., Clarkston 48348). Luncheon to follow at Deer Lake Athletic Club, 6167 White Lake Road, Clarkston, Michigan 48346.
Please consider a donation to Reverence Hospice in lieu of flowers. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.

To Connie and Family,
Tim was kind, considerate, and giving. He never missed the opportunity to make me feel important and special. I am truly grieved for you all. Please know your in my thoughts and prayers. I remember Tim taking me to a Tigers game on two occasions, when he heard my own father was no longer active in my life. I still remember them both vividly and fondly. He did not have to do that, but thats just who Tim was, and ALWAYS will be in our minds!
Dear Connie and Family, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the loss of a husband, father and grandpa. The loss for us is sometimes difficult, but the gain for Tim is immeasurable. May you all be comforted by this thought.
