of Florida, formerly of Waterford, passed away October 28, 2015 at 94 years of age. Loving wife of the late Herbert; beloved mother of Carol Hatcher, Marjorie (the late Larry) Hofmeister, and Elizabeth “Buffy” (David Stallknecth) Howerth; grandmother of 7; great grandmother of 7 with one on the way; preceded in death by 1 grandchild; sister of June Needham; preceded in death by sisters, Irene Cleveland and Laudra Everett. Virginia was a graduate of U of M and retired from the Waterford Schools after 30 years of service at Schoolcraft Elementary. Virginia was a vital life force that loved to travel; she made people laugh and people fell in love with her, as she did with them. She had the kind of wisdom that was magnanimous, and a personality that was loving and inclusive. Virginia was a true “life guide” for all of us.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember being in Mrs. Howarths class. She was one of my favorite teachers. I remember her being so nice and making everyone feel special. She was one of the best.
