You were a gentleman beyond compare and you will always be remembered as one. I've taken a lot of what you said to me as a boy and lived your words. I've thought about the many hardships you've overcome and have come away awed. I would aspire to be the man you were but I could never reach that highest of rungs. You had an inner peace that few seem to find. I am filled with joy that you finally get to be with Mom and Dennis and Susan. They have longed for you and now you are coming home. May you have the whole, painless, and wonderful afterlife that you deserve so much and have been promised.
Your loving son,
Dad, I miss you so much, your were always an inspiration to me, so devoted to your family, always loving, giving and teaching all of us about life. the many picnics when we went to hawthorne park or to cass lake after you had come home from working in a sweltering plant. the awesome vacations we went on, camping all summer in ortonville. these are just a few of the many memories I have. but the best of times was when you came to live with us, watching the tigers, gunsmoke and bonanza! and your jokes! and how you cared for everyone around you. love and miss you! give mom, dennis and susan a hug for me. mike
Uncle Melvin,I will miss you dearly. I would have to agree with David, you were the ultimate gentleman. The love you had for your family and friends showed through without limits. Everyone could learn how to be loving and kind from the example that you always displayed. I could only strive and hope to become the kind of person you were. I love you.
To my cousins, I am so sorry for loss. He was an awesome Husband and father. The world has dulled a little without him here. I Love You All.
